    • Speaker: OHRP
    • Description: The Common Rule provides a baseline standard for human subjects protection in HHS/federally-funded research. As artificial intelligence (AI) is being employed more readily in research, a clear understanding of the relationship between the technology and the research will help institutions determine if the Common Rule applies and what considerations, ethical or otherwise, investigators may find valuable.

  • Managing Conflicts of Interest

    • Speaker: Bryant Gordon, Compliance Program Manager, Conflict of Interest Office, University of Utah
    • Description:

This presentation will provide a basic review of conflict of interest policies and why institutions need to understand their importance.
